1. Identify visa type — Confirm the visa category to determine the correct cancellation pathway.
2. Clearance check — Verify there are no outstanding labour, immigration, or financial dues.
3. Document collection — Gather all required documents from the visa holder and sponsor/employer.
4. Cancel labour card — File MOL / MOHRE cancellation for employment visa holders.
5. Submit cancellation application — Process through ICA, GDRFA, or an authorised typing centre.
6. Emirates ID surrender — Original Emirates ID is submitted and cancelled with ICA.
7. Exit stamp issued — Visa cancellation is confirmed and a 30-day grace period begins.
